Dr. Kresnak also participates in the InfantSee program, providing free exams for infants from 6 months to one year. Saturday appointments are available by appointment only.

Facilities and Equipment

Our practice has served the Grand Rapids area for over 60 years. We are proud to offer a modern, professional office with the latest high-technology services and equipment. As a result, we offer an exceptional combination of experience with leading-edge advances in eye care.

We are located in a beautiful building specifically designed and constructed to ensure an organized and pleasant experience for all our patients, including those who may have special needs and/or disabilities. We have four fully equipped exam rooms and specialized diagnostic equipment. This includes a new Retinal Camera, Humphrey’s Automated Visual Field Analyzer, Diagnostic Scanning Tomography (OCT), and Corneal Topography (for laser vision correction patients).

Digital Retinal Imaging!

With our new OPTOS California, we are now offering screenings that are not reimbursable by insurance. This digital photograph of your retinas will set a baseline in order to monitor for change in the future. We also provide a copy of the photos for your records.

Appointment Reminders & Eyewear Notifications

Additionally, based on your preference, we notify you with appointment reminders or eyewear arrivals via text, email, or phone. Please make sure you check us out and LIKE us on Facebook.

The most important aspect of our practice is not the building or the equipment but rather the staff that is here to serve you. From the doctors to the technical staff to the administrative staff. We work hard to do our best to provide high-quality eye care within a pleasant and caring setting. We trust you will agree, and look forward to seeing you soon!

Dry Eye Treatment

At Grand Rapids Eye Care, we offer comprehensive dry eye treatment services that utilize cutting-edge technology to assess and address Dry Eye Disease (DED). For a dry eye assessment, please call our office for an appointment. In most cases, this condition can be billed as a medical exam. We do not charge extra for the use of the Keratograph other than the portions that can be billed towards medical insurance.

Eyewear & Our Optical

We offer a large selection of frames from several frame manufacturers, including Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Kate Spade, Tura, Charmant, Silhouette, MODO, Ted Baker, Etnia Barcelona, Ray-Ban, Nike, and many more. Because we have approximately 800 frames on display, we are confident that you will love your final selection! Our competitive prices are attractive, and our optical staff is the best! No appointment is necessary to browse and select your new frames.

Lens Options

We only use the highest quality ophthalmic lenses to provide you with the clearest vision possible. Lens options include: “Ultra-thin” lenses especially helpful for strong prescriptions, “Anti-reflection” lenses to reduce glare while night driving and to reduce computer screen fatigue, “Transitions” lenses that automatically adjust their tint to various lighting conditions and “Varilux” invisible bifocals.

Digital Custom Progressive Lenses

The newest in progressive “no line” bifocal technology is a digital custom lens. The difference is in the pre-frame adjustment and computerized measurements. These lenses take into account everything from your prescription, the way your chosen frame sits on your face, and the rotation of your eyes to minimize peripheral distortion, and gives you the widest distance, computer, and reading space available. An example of our innovativeness is our new collection of Adidas, Bolle, and Serengeti sunwear: Unlike Oakley, many of these sports glasses are designed to fit prescription (RX) lenses. For the more technical sunglasses that cannot support a direct in-frame RX, “clip-on” RX optical inserts can be snapped in behind the polycarbonate lenses.
